Guaratiba Reefs and Whale sighting

Leaving Prado after a peaceful journey through Rio Jucuruçu and its lush mangrove aboard an idyllic schooner, tourists will sail toward Guaratiba Reef. A wonderful coral reef that outcrops in the low tides of the new moon and full moon, where you can dive in the warm waters and observe fish of all colors and shapes, corals, plants, and have fascinating encounters with many turtles and rays that inhabit the sandy and crystal seabed of this piece of paradise.

From July to November is also possible to see in Prado's friendly waters the Humpback Whales. The majestic whales, which reach sizes of up to 16 meters and 40 tons, migrate from the Antarctic to the warm waters of Whale Coast (thats the name of the coast of Prado) for mating and procreation. They will delight those who see them with their dances and songs. Among the cries of "whales in sight!" The tourist will feel like Captain Ahab in Moby Dick.
